WHO WE ARE

Fire and lightning collided when Emily Miller and Lane Matravers met in 2023.

Though they were originally in a different band together, their need to form a hardcore feminist punk band was too urgent to ignore. And so the idea for Someone's Daughter was born one night over tacos and margaritas.

Bassist Kaija Cornett was brought in soon after in January 2024, with Rosie Gonce originally on drums, then Swan D. taking over the kit as their new full-time drummer in 2026.

Someone's Daughter is one part hardcore, one part grunge, and fully unabashed, raw punk rock. Their songs cover everything from the frustrations of female birth control and family resentments to the maddening noise of city life, the machine of capitalism, and the rage born from being a woman in the modern world.
